Glacier experience on the Kitzsteinhorn

On 3.029 meters, the Kitzsteinhorn summit is within arm’s reach. It’s here where Salzburg’s highest-situated attraction is located: TOP OF SALZBURG is open year-round and the highest point in the state of Salzburg to be reachable via cable cars. Panoramic platforms, a 360-m-long info tunnel and Austria’s highest-situated cinema offer breathtaking views of and fascinating insights in the high-alpine mountain world. The ICE ARENA offers cooling and sliding fun in the glacier snow on the glacier plateau in July and August. Hikers and bikers enjoy a unique nature area with picturesque landscapes of varied vegetation zones from the valley all the way up to high-alpine terrain: numerous hiking trails ranging from easy to challenging, action-packed MTB freeride trails and beautiful bike tours. The seamless cable car network allows to float comfortably to all access points and simultaneously enjoy spectacular views. The bike is always allowed in the gondola free of charge.
