Tobogganing Toboggan runs around Zell am See-Kaprun
It's as much a part of a winter holiday as the Schmittenhöhe is to Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn is to Kaprun: a racy descent on a toboggan is a must on your holiday. And that doesn't just apply to families! In and around Zell am See-Kaprun, several excellently groomed toboggan runs invite you to go tobogganing. In addition to the world’s longest toboggan run, you will even find an all-year toboggan run in the region - the Maisi Flitzer. On your toboggan, ready, go!
Your family tobogganing trip
Variety is the hallmark of the toboggan runs in Salzburger Land: For tobogganing with children, the toboggan run from Köhlergraben through Schmittental in Zell am See is a good start. The family-friendly natural toboggan run is around one kilometre long and open daily until 10 pm if there is enough snow.
Night tobogganing & Alpine Coaster
Just the thing for night owls is the three-kilometre-long, illuminated Kohlschnait toboggan run in Bruck an der Glocknerstraße. Here you can hike uphill to the start or use the Rodelexpress. After a leisurely rest at the inn, you can take the winding route back down into the valley. The toboggan run in Bramberg am Wildkogel promises a really long descent: this run is 14 kilometres long and thus the world’s longest illuminated toboggan run. You can master the ascent here by mountain railway. On the Maiskogel, the Alpine Coaster "Maisi Flitzer" promises tobogganing fun all year round: In a toboggan on rails, you whizz down into the valley over waves, banked curves and scrolls.
