Hiking on the Kitzsteinhorn
The contrast to the gentle grass mountains is the majestic world of the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. The glacier region is situated directly at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern and offers you high alpine views. If you don't want to hike on your own, it's best to rely on the experience of qualified guides and hiking guides who will accompany you safely through rock and ice. Further down in the valley is the family mountain Maiskogel. It offers child-friendly hiking trails and cosy huts.
