Spring skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn
Spring skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn
The current opening hours can be found here.
On the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park, it's not just high alpine hiking and mountain experiences that beckon in spring and summer: Here you can even ski on pistes with natural snow and in excellent conditions until late May.
Are you one of those who can never get enough of skiing? Then you'll feel right at home on the Kitzsteinhorn. Here, right on the border of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the ski season lasts well into early summer. For you, this means: You can enjoy your turns in the snow-reliable glacier ski area at 3,000 metres above sea level, then gondola downhill to the valley with the excellent summer mountain railways and, at the end of the day of skiing, jump into Lake Zell in your swimwear. The pistes with natural snow offer ideal conditions and the most beautiful firn downhill runs even in spring and early summer. During a well-deserved break, the sun terrace beckons and promises cosy relaxation in a deck chair. Don't forget your sun cream!
