Weyringerskulpturen

In the idyllic Elisabethpark near Lake Zell are three sculptures by the renowned sculptor and painter Johann Weyringer, who is also known for his sculptural plaza designs at Salzburg Airport or on the Franz-Josefs-Höhe on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The three large sculptures in Zell am See - an eagle, an ibex, and a flower - were created in 1998, and impressively symbolise the nature and biodiversity of the surrounding area, which must be protected. The majestic eagle stands for down-to-earthness, the determined ibex for resolve and the delicate flower sculpture for the pure beauty of nature.
