Watch out panoramic view connoisseurs and alpine fans: From summer 2024, the unique Kaiserblick viewing platform will be located at the summit of the Schmittenhöhe, offering a photo point at lofty heights for perfect Instagram snapshots and souvenir photos. The Kaiserblicksteg is dedicated to Emperor Franz Joseph I and offers a unique view over Lake Zell.
2 | F2 Maiskogel mountainbike trail

This trail for beginners and families leads from the MK Maiskogelbahn mountain station over 3.7 km and 381 vertical meters with numerous wide and tight steep turns, waves and small jumps to the Stanger middle station. The trail is wide and, thanks to the gentle gradient, is particularly fun and exciting for downhill beginners and families!

From May to October the Cool Kids Fun holiday programme offers a variety of spectacular excursions and action-packed experiences. 5 | Off to the swimming pool: Three locations for aqua fun with children
Open daily from 1 July until 31 August
Time for lilos, inflatable armbands and chocolate ice cream: Lake Zell offers three lido locations for splashing around and playing. While the kids race down the giant slide or dare to jump off the 5-metre tower, parents can relax on the spacious sunbathing lawns on the shore, go water skiing or rent stand-up paddle boards. And as final highlight, there's the family boat trip on Lake Zell!

On a boat trip on Lake Zell, the captain does the work and the guests can enjoy and relax! From the deck of the large excursion boats, you will definitely have the best view of the surrounding mountain peaks, the lakeside promenade of Zell am See and the crystal-clear water. Come aboard!
7 | Ice Arena: Fun in the snow in summer

Do you fancy a snowball fight with the whole family despite or because of the summer temperatures? Or do you want to slide through the white splendour of winter on a toboggan together with the kids? In the ICE ARENA of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier at almost 3,000 metres above sea level, this fun in the snow is also possible during your summer holiday.
8 | Maisi Flitzer: Tobogganing fun on rails for all ages

Tobogganing in the snow is not enough for you? The Maisi Flitzer Alpine Coaster is the first year-round toboggan run in SalzburgerLand and takes passengers downhill into the valley across spectacular curves in summer and winter. The youngest guests can also let off steam on numerous slides, bouncy castles and colourful playgrounds in the leisure park next door.
9 | Tauern SPA: Water slides instead of bad weather mood

Zell am See-Kaprun also offers a diverse programme for rainy days: the 20,000-square-metre aqua & sauna world of the Tauern SPA thermal spa offers relaxing time-out moments not only for adults. In a spacious children's area with slides, adventure grotto, climbing wall and a baby pool for the youngest, the rain outside the door is quickly forgotten. But of course the Tauern SPA is not only worth a visit on rainy days!
10 | Excursion to the Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs: Marvelling at and understanding hydropower

What does a reservoir look like and how is electricity generated from water? At an altitude of over 2,000 metres above sea level, inquisitive minds of all ages can learn exciting things about hydropower, and at the same time visit the technical marvel of the high mountain reservoirs "Wasserfallboden" and "Mooserboden": For visitors of all ages, there is a guided tour of the dam wall and the "Electricity" adventure world to discover. If you dare, you can even conquer the dam wall via a via ferrata.
11 | Sigmund Thun Gorge: A spectacle of nature of rock and waterfalls

Another spectacle of nature is the 30-metre-deep and 320-metre-long Sigmund Thun Gorge. Here, a path leads over boardwalks and bridges past impressive rock formations and thundering waterfalls. A magical place, just made for creating fantasy and fairy tale stories together!
10 | Museum tours: Learning is fun

Come rain or shine: history buffs, technology and nature enthusiasts, but also fans of oldtimer cars can visit several exciting museums in the Zell am See-Kaprun region. In the local history museum in Kaprun, the Kaprun Museum, you can learn everything about the development of the glacier lifts and the beginnings of tourism.
In the medieval Vogtturm tower in Zell am See you can follow the tracks of local history - the famous Studio F. A. Porsche is also presented in a special exhibition.
In Vötter's Vehicle Museum, over 200 vintage cars and even a steam locomotive from 1893 are waiting to be admired. And if you want to get to know Austria's magnificent nature and wildlife, visiting the National Park Gallery on the Kitzsteinhorn is a must.
