Crossing Lake Zell

Crossing Lake Zell

Schmitten Schiffahrt, Esplanade, 5700 Zell am See

Departure times can be found here.

In summer, the MS Grossglockner departs from Zell am See every half hour for the crossing: during the entire excursion you can enjoy the lake route from Zell am See towards Seecamp or Schüttdorf.

In other regions you use a taxi to get from A to B - but not in Zell am See-Kaprun: Here the most beautiful way to reach the other side of the lake from Zell am See is the crossing on board the MS Grossglockner (or alternatively the "Kaiserin Elisabeth"). In summer, the boat departs 14 times a day from the Esplanade in Zell am See in direction Seecamp and, depending on the route, passes Sonnhof, Bellevue, the Kurpark or takes you by water to Schüttdorf. So instead of being on the road, you are on the water, gliding leisurely across Lake Zell and always having the region’s impressive mountains in view.
