Gorgeous Lights 13 June - 24 October 2025
With its unique rock formations, craggy rock faces and foaming water, the Sigmund Thun Gorge near Kaprun is a miracle of nature: 320 metres long and 30 metres deep, the water has forced its way through the rock here. As part of the "Gorgeous Lights" spectacle, the gorge is illuminates by colourful lights every week during the summer months, and invites you to take a mystical walk.
When evening falls, the lights in the Sigmund Thun Gorge illuminate the rocks and water in bright colours: the formations of stone and thundering masses of water seem even more magical than in daylight. An experience for the whole family.

Opening hours:
The mystical gorge lights are of course best visible when it gets dark. Therefore the opening times are based on dusk. You can find details about the opening times here.
